We provide monthly nutrition education at 20 senior meal sites.
Our older adult education program is governed by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Education grant. Programming takes place at senior meal sites where 50% or more of the participants are eligible to receive FoodShare assistance.
In partnership with the Lorem County Area Agency on Aging, WNEP Educators provide monthly nutrition education at 20 senior meal sites throughout Lorem County. Anyone is welcome to attend the free nutrition education session. For directions and meal reservations, please contact your local meal site[link].
Each month an educator will discuss a different topic from a variety of subjects.

Vary your veggies, focus on fruit! Eating fruits and vegetables of all colors is a great way to stay healthy. Join our UW Extension educator to discuss ways to get a variety of fruits and vegetables every day. Also enjoy a delicious tasting of fresh vegetables and homemade ranch dip.
